Hi Everyone

What a pleasure it is to be able to offer you our new newsletter outlining what’s been happening at Blaney Spa and Yoga Centre!

We have just celebrated our first year after our official opening on 5th May 2006.  Lord Rooker carried out the ceremony which was attended by other honoured guests, friends, and neighbours.

The trees planted on that day as a reminder of a new beginning are flourishing as are the blossoms in our Centre.

We have been successful in hosting various workshops throughout the year for people of all ages, abilities, and skills such as our Teenage classes in the Summer, our Antenatal classes, and of course, our regular weekly timetable of classes for different level students.

In December we held our Christmas Fair with entertainment provided by performance artist Armin Razo-Katz.

In January of this year I was lucky enough to secure a place on a re-training program in Thailand.  I went to Chiang Mai and refreshed my skills in Thai Yoga Massage.  This also gave me a brilliant opportunity to meet other cultures, renew old acquaintances, and make new friends.

Since then, 2007 has brought a lot of new opportunities.  We have held team-building days for workers, hosted relaxing pamper days for groups of friends celebrating birthdays, hen parties etc, and treated individual guests.

In March we were fortunate enough to have Marie Quail YTTC as our host teacher for a weekend.

We are also looking forward to a ‘greener’ future through our involvement in Eco-tourism offering eco-breaks, and working closely with The Greenbox and other organisations.

Our schedule for the rest of the year is varied and includes workshops such as yoga combined with painting and photography.  You could say ‘learning while relaxing’!

We are also holding an event to celebrate Midsummer, and are offering Teacher Training Programs and Diploma Courses with a variety of experienced tutors such as Dave Curtis CYT CPT, Michael Kirwan B.Sc. (Hons) and Marie Quail (YTTC).  Please feel free to browse the rest of our website for further information and details about all our events.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported, and continue to support us here at Blaney Spa and Yoga Centre, and look forward to meeting new people.
